Who are we?
Finn is a trained primary school teacher; specialising in the Early Years and in Music Education. Music has always been central in her life. Having previous experience working as a nursery and primary school classroom teacher as well as a Head of Music at a Southwark primary school, Finn is now focusing solely on building and developing Crescendo across Camden, Islington and Surrey (Carshalton and surrounding areas).
Having gained her own initial musical experiences at a young age with Camden Music before moving onto teaching workshops and classes across Camden, she came up with the idea for Crescendo in early 2011. She now directs it, with the support of the Camden Music Service. She has completed training in various early years styles of teaching and uses her research and training to provide classes that are catered specifically for each child. Particular focus is given to pitch matching, exciting repertoire, movement, pulse and rhythm, through imaginative and engaging activities. Finn is very excited about the expansion of Crescendo into more schools in and around London: sharing her passion for music with as many young children as possible!

Jo completed a primary PGCE at the University of the West of England and taught for a year before relocating to London to start work with the Camden Music Service. Music has always been a big part of her life playing the piano from a young age, the ukulele and being part of a steel band which took her around the world.
As well as the Crescendo music sessions, Jo also teaches private piano lessons, music theory and ukulele ensembles.

Adriana is delighted to be joining the Crescendo family. She has loved music from an early age and enjoys playing the piano and getting to learn new instruments. She trained as an actress at LAMDA and has extensive experience singing with choirs at such venues as the Barbican, Royal Albert Hall and the Southbank Centre.
She has led classical music workshops in schools for the Veni Vidi Theatre Company and cannot wait to bring the work of Crescendo to even more young children.

Teachers
Crescendo employs only the very best music teachers, with a real desire to share the joy of music with all of the children and parents that they meet. Although experience with the early years is preferable, please do not hesitate to get in contact if this is a genuine interest of yours; I am a keen mentor and would rather your passion for music shone through, although some teaching experience is essential. Working with the early years can be intense, but incredibly rewarding. Crescendo is always looking for new teachers so if you feel that you have something to bring to the team, please do get in touch!
